United Airlines: More than 700 flights delayed due to technical problems

Several United Airlines flights this week experienced lengthy delays due to several instances of technical problems affecting its aircraft.

Flights scheduled from Chicago, Denver, Houston, New Jersey, and San Francisco airports experienced the highest number of delays.

In a statement, the Newark-Liberty-based airline initially apologized to passengers affected by these delays and stated that its operations were being disrupted due to technical issues affecting several aircraft in its fleet. United Airlines also announced that these problems would be resolved by its maintenance teams, stating that the situation should return to normal within one or two days.

According to the FlightAware website, more than 700 scheduled United Airlines flights experienced delays in the past 24 hours, mostly on international routes. However, the American airline warned that some of its regional flights may be affected, particularly due to airport congestion.
