Are you traveling with Frontier Airlines soon? Find all the information you need about online flight check-in, seat selection, and obtaining your boarding pass.

Check-in time

Whether you are travelling with Frontier Airlines on a domestic or international flight, the check-in deadline is set at 60 minutes before the flight’s departure, with the service becoming available from 24 hours before the flight time.

How do I check in online for my Frontier Airlines flight?

By following a few simple steps, you can check in for your flight booked with this airline.

To access this digital service – offered exclusively on Flyfrontier.com and in the airline’s mobile app – you need your confirmation code (a 6-character combination of letters and numbers, e.g., FLY695).

In the login field, enter your last name as it appears on your ID card, passport, and airline ticket, along with your confirmation code.

Where can you find your confirmation code?

This booking reference is included in your e-ticket, issued by the airline after your booking has been validated and paid for.

If you booked through a travel agency, you will need to contact them to obtain your code.

Note that the confirmation code can also be accessed through your Frontier Miles account.

Let’s proceed to flight check-in

On the Frontier Airlines web check-in page, you can view all the information related to your flight booking, including: passenger’s first and last name, departure and destination cities, flight date, travel class, flight number, etc.

Don’t forget to select the passengers included in your booking (if you are traveling in a group with a single reservation).

Before completing the web check-in process:

– Choose your seat

Standard seats on airplanes are assigned automatically. If you wish to change your seat selection and choose a specific seat, you can do so during the online check-in process to save time.

You can view the different seat options offered by Frontier Airlines, such as UpFront Plus, Premium, and Preferred, as well as standard seats.

– Add baggage

The baggage allowance is specified in your flight booking. If you need to bring more baggage, you must do so before check-in closes.

Get your boarding pass

Once your flight check-in is confirmed, the system will issue your boarding pass. You can then choose whether to save it to your smartphone or print it out.

Airport counter check-in

Even with a valid flight reservation, some Frontier Airlines passengers are not eligible for online check-in, namely:

– Unaccompanied minors

– Passengers experiencing difficulties with online check-in.

Check-in at the airport is subject to a fee

Please note that Frontier Airlines charges a fee of $25 to each passenger requesting assistance at the airport for flight check-in and boarding pass printing.

However, no fee is charged if the passenger checks in at a self-service kiosk.

Passengers exempt from the check-in fee with assistance:

– Passengers with reduced mobility (wheelchair users, stretcher passengers, hearing/visual impairments, etc.)

– Passengers traveling with guide dogs

– Active duty U.S. military personnel

– Passengers traveling with special/oversized baggage

– Passengers traveling with infants

– Passengers purchasing an additional seat at the airport counter

– Purchasing sports equipment from Volaris.

Check-in at a Self-Service Kiosk

Frontier Airlines has installed self-service kiosks for flight and baggage check-in at most major U.S. airports, including Atlanta, Orlando, and Denver.

Using the kiosk’s touchscreen, log in to your account using your PNR (Passenger Name Record) to access your booking.

Select the passenger you wish to check in. You can also choose a premium seat, subject to availability, and add excess baggage.

Check in your bags

Once check-in is confirmed, you can print your boarding pass and baggage tags, which you must attach to your suitcases before going to the baggage drop-off area. Otherwise, proceed directly to the boarding area if you are traveling with carry-on baggage only.
