United Airlines weaves its web of in-flight connectivity. The United States airline recently committed to installing very high-speed wifi on the majority of its planes using technology provided by Starlink.
The airline has just signed a long-term agreement with the American giant SpaceX to provide high-speed connectivity solutions on board aircraft.
This contract now covers the majority of Embraer 175 and Boeing 737-800 aircraft. A press release specifies that the connection proposed on board provides a speed oscillating between 150 and 300 Mbit/s during the flight.
Free connection on board
The Starlink connection is offered free to all passengers traveling on United Airlines, and to benefit from it, they only need to be enrolled in its MileagePlus loyalty program.
Please also note that registration as a user of these services is only carried out once, which allows you to easily reconnect during subsequent flights.
