Southwest Airlines is further strengthening its flight schedule at Milwaukee Airport with the launch of three new direct flights to San Diego, Austin and Miami, starting in October.
The new routes are offered on days and times tailored to these customers. Southwest Airlines will connect Milwaukee Mitchell International Airport to San Diego starting October 2nd (this flight will operate every day of the week except Tuesdays and Wednesdays).
Compared to flights between Milwaukee Mitchell and Austin, it should be noted that this connection already exists, but will be enhanced with several additional flights scheduled on Sundays starting March 8th, 2026.
Southwest Airlines will launch flights between Milwaukee Mitchell and Miami in the spring
In the midst of the spring break season, the American low cost airline will begin operating a weekly flight every Saturday starting March 7th, and a few days later, it will spread its wings to CancĂșn with two weekly flights to the Mexican destination.
Flights are available for purchase on the national airline’s website www.southwest.com, through its call centers, as well as at its sales offices and travel agency network.
These new routes are part of its development plan aimed at better connecting major destinations in major U.S. states to better meet the needs of domestic tourists and business travelers while contributing to Milwaukee’s growth as a strategic tourist destination.
