Delta Airlines has had to cancel several flights scheduled to and from its hubs at Boston Logan (BOS), New York LaGuardia (LGA), and New York JFK this week due to a major winter storm.
Storm Hernando has affected several cities and states in the Northeast, while meteorologists predict the violent storm could move inland and hit the East Coast, including Miami, Charleston, and Washington, D.C.
Rerouting options offered to passengers
Delta stated in a press release that passengers whose flights have been canceled will be automatically rebooked on the airline’s next available flights once weather conditions improve.
Passengers with confirmed reservations should go to their “Find Your Trip” section on the Delta website or app to manage their booking and choose an alternative travel date at no extra charge.
Currently, Delta Airlines is offering passengers the option to book other flights at no cost until February 28th.
For more information about this offer or to inquire about alternative flights, Delta Airlines asks passengers to contact its customer service department.
