Delta Airlines places major order for 787-10s with Boeing

Delta Air Lines has just announced an order for thirty 787-10 wide-body long-haul aircraft from Boeing. The contract is valued at $58.3 billion at list price.

With this new order, for which deliveries are scheduled to begin in 2031, Delta Air Lines is adding a new wide-body aircraft model to its fleet, which is primarily composed of Boeing 767s, 757s, 737s, 717s, and Airbus A350s, A330s, A319s, and A220s.

To secure this new contract, Boeing had to meet Delta Air Lines’ requirements, which stipulated a ten-year production guarantee for these new aircraft.

This new order comes on top of another large order recently placed by the American aircraft manufacturer for 100 737-10s.

Delta Air Lines is considered the largest airline in the United States in terms of revenue and fleet size. During the last year, this operator generated revenues of USD 58.3 billion, registering an increase of 2.3 compared to the previous year.
