American Airlines continues to expand its domestic flight network from Los Angeles International Airport (LAX). The national carrier has announced the opening of two new routes: Cleveland Hopkins (CLE) and Washington Dulles (IAD).
These two new scheduled services will begin operating on April 7, 2026, and will be served daily by Boeing 737-800 aircraft with a capacity of 172 seats.
More domestic flights for American Airlines
It appears that AA aims to bolster its domestic flight schedule this year. The American carrier has already announced the launch of three routes from its Chicago O’Hare (ORD) hub to Allentown (ABE) in Pennsylvania and Columbia (CAE) in South Carolina, both served by Embraer 170 aircraft starting May 21.
The third route will launch during the winter season, connecting Chicago (ORD) to Kahului, Hawaii (OGG). This seasonal service will operate between December 17, 2026, and March 27, 2027, using Boeing 787-8 aircraft.
