American Airlines flies to South Bimini from Miami

American Airlines has just announced the launch of a direct flight between Miami and South Bimini in the Bahamas. This connection is approximately 1,190 miles long, making it one of the shortest in its network.

With no competition on this route, AA will operate its first flight on this route on February 14, 2026, using its Embraer E175. Three departures will take place weekly: Saturday, Monday, and Wednesday. Connecting flights are available from Miami to Dallas-Fort Worth.

According to Cirium Diio, American Airlines will be the third airline to launch flights to South Bimini Airport, currently served only by Western Air and Flamingo Air.

Furthermore, South Bimini will be the seventh destination regularly served by the American airline in the Bahamas, following Governor’s Harbour, George Town, Nassau, North Eleuthera, Freeport, and Marsh Harbour.
