Spirit Airlines has announced the date of its inaugural flight to Belize City, its sixth destination served outside the United States.
The new route, connecting Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood Airport and Philip S.W. Goldson Airport in Belize City, will officially open on November 21 of this year, with three flights per week operated by the American low-cost carrier on Saturdays, Mondays, and Fridays by A320.
Spirit Airlines’ Vice President of Network Development welcomed the launch of this new route, stating: “Spirit Airlines is delighted to announce the addition of Belize to its ever-growing list of sunny destinations from its Fort Lauderdale hub.”
This new flight with tickets starting at USD 85 complements Spirit Airlines’ other services in the Caribbean, namely: San Salvador, Managua, Guatemala, San Pedro Sula, Tegucigalpa and Grand Cayman.
Compared to the fare range for the new route between Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood and Philip S.W. Goldson, Belize, Spirit Airlines offers three packages:
Spirit First: This offers a spacious seat and a free baggage allowance, including one piece of free baggage in the cabin and in the hold, along with other convenient privileges such as priority check-in, boarding and disembarkation upon landing, and free Wi-Fi access during the flight.
Premium Economy: In addition to access to seats with extra legroom, booking a Spirit flight with this fare allows you to check one piece of baggage free of charge and bring another piece of baggage in the cabin free of charge, as well as the ability to change your flight date free of charge or cancel it free of charge.
