JetBlue and United Airlines have launched their joint loyalty program, Blue Sky, to offer even more benefits and travel opportunities to their passengers.
After receiving approval from the DOT to launch this joint program, JetBlue’s “TrueBlue” loyalty program and United Airlines’ MileagePlus are merged into Blue Sky.
The merger of the loyalty programs of these two airlines “demonstrates a strong commitment to anchoring this partnership over the long term and in accordance with the win-win strategy of both airlines,” a press release states.
An expanded destination network, a more advantageous points scale and more flexible access conditions for Elite status now make up the range of new benefits of the loyalty program shared by the two partner airlines.
Blue Sky allows passengers of both airlines to travel on a network with hundreds of domestic and international destinations.
Blue Sky also offers a much more attractive points scale for the use of award tickets, upgrade awards and excess baggage awards.
Points can be earned across the entire network of partner airlines JetBlue and United Airlines.
