An aviation enthusiast since childhood, I follow the evolution of air transport worldwide with great interest. Through Uspassengers.com, I focus on analyzing the latest news from American airlines and all carriers operating to and from the United States: new routes, fleet renewals, inter-company agreements, airport developments, and more.
Walt Disney World is expanding its luggage transfer service. JetBlue is the fourth airline to join the pilot program, alongside Southwest Airlines, American Airlines, and United Airlines.
Available exclusively to guests at select Disney hotels, the service is offered as a complimentary perk: luggage travels separately from passengers between Orlando International Airport (MCO) and the hotel, in both directions. This means travelers can skip the baggage claim carousel upon arrival.
Notably, JetBlue is the first airline operating out of Orlando Airport’s new Terminal C to join the program.
How to use the service
Registration takes place online via the service provider BagCheck’s form between 30 days and 24 hours prior to departure. You simply check in your luggage with the airline as usual. The service applies to domestic U.S. flights.
Upon arrival, it can take up to four hours for luggage to reach the hotel. It is therefore advisable to keep medications, a change of clothes, and valuables in your carry-on bag.
