A Hawaiian Airlines flight scheduled for last Sunday between Las Vegas and Honolulu experienced an excessive delay that exceeded 24 hours.
Scheduled for Sunday at 10:00 PM, the airline had to delay its flight for the first time due to a mechanical failure detected before takeoff.
A delay that stretched to several hours
Ultimately, the problem was not resolved, and the airline was forced to transfer its passengers to another flight, scheduled for the next day at 1:30 PM. but once again, the new flight was forced to take off on schedule due to the sweltering heat in Las Vegas.
Hawaiian Airlines issued a statement to clarify the situation : “We had to delay the Las Vegas-Honolulu flight again because we needed more time to cool the aircraft cabin”.
The airline further announced that passengers on the flight in question have been rerouted to their flight tomorrow morning at 9:00 a.m. “In the meantime, all our passengers have been taken care of and we have accommodated them in hotels near their departure terminal”. It added.
Refund or rebooking option available
For some passengers who refused to travel on the new flight: “We sincerely apologize for this inconvenience caused by an unforeseen situation, and we are offering our customers the option of a refund or rebooking at no additional cost to travel to a later date,” it added.
