Hawaiian Airlines in Boeing 787-9 on Tokyo Narita – Seattle

Hawaiian Airlines has just announced that its service between Tokyo Narita and Seattle, currently operated by an Airbus A330-200, will be replaced by a Boeing 787-9 starting April 22, 2026.

The introduction of the larger Boeing 787-9 will enhance onboard comfort for Hawaiian Airlines customers and those traveling to Narita within the airline’s network.

The new aircraft will be configured in two classes, including the Premium cabin which offers 34 seats with a full 180° recline and an angled layout in a 1-2-1 layout.

Each seat in the cabin, dubbed the ‘Leihoku Suite,’ features an 18-inch digital screen allowing passengers to experience Hawaiian Airlines’ In-Seat Entertainment system.

The main (economy) cabin is configured to accommodate 187 passengers, seating in Collins Aerospace Aspire seats. A section of this cabin is equipped with Comfort seats offering extra legroom.

All cabins are equipped with AC outlets and USB A and C charging ports.

Passengers on this flight, served by a Boeing 787-9, will enjoy legendary onboard hospitality from Hawaiian Airlines’ multinational cabin crew, as well as regionally inspired cuisine and complimentary beverages.
