An aviation enthusiast since childhood, I follow the evolution of air transport worldwide with great interest. Through Uspassengers.com, I focus on analyzing the latest news from American airlines and all carriers operating to and from the United States: new routes, fleet renewals, inter-company agreements, airport developments, and more.
New Jersey has gained another low-cost carrier. Breeze Airways began serving Trenton-Mercer Airport (TTN) in Ewing with an inaugural flight from Charleston, South Carolina, arriving on Sunday, September 20. The aircraft landed around 4:00 p.m., and Mercer County, represented by County Executive Dan Benson, welcomed the passengers. The first return flight to Charleston took off around 6:00 p.m., marking the end of the first day of operations.
The Trenton–Charleston route operates twice weekly, on Thursdays and Sundays, with a flight time of approximately two hours. Specific schedules vary by date and should be checked at the time of booking on flybreeze.com.
Breeze Airways is offering promotional fares starting at $59 one-way, valid for travel between September 20 and March 23, 2027.
Two additional services are on the schedule:
Nonstop service between Trenton and Vero Beach (Florida) begins on September 30. It will initially operate on Wednesdays and Saturdays, switching to Thursdays and Sundays in January.
Nonstop service to Fort Myers will begin on January 8, operating on Mondays and Fridays.
A Trenton–Fort Lauderdale route is already available; it operates via Charleston using the “BreezeThru” service, allowing passengers to stay on the same plane.
Tickets for these two flights start at $89 one-way, subject to date and availability.
