This is the airline’s 50th nonstop destination from San Diego. According to Travelocity, fares observed for San Diego-Loreto start around $241 one-way and $389–$474 round-trip, depending on the dates and availability of Saver fares. These prices are indicative and may fluctuate depending on the season and booking lead time.

Note: The exact departure and arrival times have not yet been published in the official announcement; they will be available when the final schedule goes on sale on alaskaair.com, so it is advisable to check the precise schedule at the time of booking.

Are there any cheaper alternatives?

The flight will be marketed by Alaska Airlines but physically operated by SkyWest Airlines under its own brand. Alaska Airlines will be the only airline in the world to connect San Diego and Loreto with a nonstop flight. Therefore, there is no cheaper direct alternative: flight comparison sites like Skyscanner confirm that no other company offers a direct flight on this route, the only other options involving a stopover, for example: via Tijuana with Volaris or Viva Aerobus, or via Mexico City with Aeromexico, which lengthens the journey and generally costs more than the direct fare of Alaska Airlines.
