Hawaiian Airlines and Alaska Airlines will launch their joint loyalty program to offer even more benefits and travel opportunities to their customers.
By next month, the HawaiianMiles and Mileage Plan loyalty programs will be merged.
In this regard, a Hawaiian Airlines spokesperson told Aloha State Daily (online media) that this is “a fundamental step in the strategic partnership we have had with Alaska Airlines for the past year and a half. The merger of our loyalty programs demonstrates a strong commitment to anchoring this partnership over the long term and in line with the win-win strategy of both airlines.” He added.
An expanded destination network, a more advantageous points scale and more flexible access conditions for Premium and Exclusive statuses now make up the range of new benefits of the loyalty program shared by the two partner airlines.
It is worth noting that Hawaiian Airlines became the property of Alaska Airlines as of September 18, 2024, after the latter acquired Hawaiian Holdings (the parent company) and saved it from bankruptcy.
What about the miles earned by passengers?
A Hawaiian Airlines spokesperson announced that miles earned by Hawaiian Miles and Mileage Plan members will not expire and will be automatically transferred to the new accounts.
